All Aztec Pup Joints are made from prime seamless oil country pipe, backed by documented mill certification and traceability to insure raw material integrity.
Utilizing over four decades of experience, we "upset" (forge) the pup joint ends and then full-length heat treat them to specific grade requirements.
The pup joints are then carbide-tool threaded on computer aided machining equipment. Hydrostatic testing and full-length drifting are performed to assure specification compliance and jobsite reliability.
After the successful completion of all processing and testing the pup joints are painted a grade designating color and receive the API monogram and identification markings. |
